Worswell Barton Farmhouse B & B Worswell Barton stands on the peninsula at the mouth of the River Yealm. We are a working National Trust Farm, with Cattle, Sheep and Aarble, along with our Vegetables which we supply to the local area every week."Local Produce for Local People".Our family have been farming here for over 65 years. |
||||
Worswell Barton is hidden away in a magical corner of the South Hams, about a mile from the picture postcard villages of Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers. The Farmhouse is a listed property, and is mentioned in the Domesday book and has a long history with the Revelstoke Estate. Sorry but we are a non-smoking property and NO pets |
|||||
| The Farmhouse has many different characteristics, One of which is its age, enclosed beams, sloping doorways, stone walls, and our guest rooms have all been named with reference to the coast that surrounds our home.
You are welcome to sit in the garden and enjoy the views, from our decking area, or if you would like a walk, in 5-10 minutes you can be on the South Devon coastal path or heading to one of our local Pubs. Please note it is advisable to book as the Ship Inn, gets very busy during the Summer and Bank Holidays. Breakfast here at Worswell is usually a Full English, with locally produce Bacon, Sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes and our own fresh eggs. Worswell Barton Breakfast Menu ~ Fruit juice/ Cereal/ Fresh fruit (when avaliable) ~ Full English - Bacon, Sauasage, Egg, Mushrooms and Tomatoes or Scrambled Eggs with Tomatoes and Mushrooms Vegetarian Sausages are avaliable. If you have any dietary needs I will try to accommodate you, so please give me prior notice as we are a long way from any speciality shops. |

Walkers Walkers are all welcome, Sorry but NO DOGS. I am happy to dry any wet clothing you may have, we also have a very friendly taxi man, called Russell Hayes 01752 872052 who will do Kit transfers and pick ups from the railway/bus stations in Plymouth. Walkers please note that the water taxi from Wembury to Noss Mayo across the Yealm Estary, works between 10.00am and 4.00pm in high season, and is limited during bad weather and low season Tides Please make sure that you check these at the ERME ESTARY, as sometimes you can cross on a very low tide, but if we have had bad weather, the river can be flowing very fast, and can make crossing difficult. Packed lunches are avaliable with prior notice only. |
